About This Update

Pro Tools LE 6.1.2 is a free update for all Pro Tools LE 6.1 and 6.1.1 users on Mac OS X 10.2 (Jaguar). These Pro Tools LE 6.1.2 updates support the same systems supported by Pro Tools LE 6.1 and 6.1.1.

Note: If you are on Windows XP or Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther), and you already have Pro Tools LE 6.1 or higher installed on either system, you can skip this update and go directly to the Pro Tools LE 6.4 Update instead:

• Pro Tools LE 6.1 to 6.4 Update
• For Windows XP and Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther) only
• Pro Tools LE 6.1.2 is the last version of Pro Tools that will work on Mac OS X 10.2 (Jaguar)
• Pro Tools LE 6.2.2 or higher is required for Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther)

Who Should Use this Update?

This update should be used by:

• Pro Tools LE 6.1 and 6.1.1 users (Mac OS X 10.2 "Jaguar" only)
• If you are updating from Pro Tools LE 6.1 to Pro Tools LE 6.1.2, you do not need to first update to Pro Tools LE 6.1.1. Pro Tools LE 6.1.2 can be installed on Mac OS X systems running Pro Tools LE 6.1.

If you are updating from Pro Tools LE 6.0 or 6.0.1, you will need to first update to Pro Tools LE 6.1:

After you have updated to Pro Tools LE 6.1, you can use the Pro Tools LE 6.1.2 Update below.

Installation Instructions for DV Toolkit Owners

The Pro Tools LE 6.1.2 Updater fails to correctly update a Pro Tools LE 6.1.1 DV Toolkit installation, deleting the Pro Tools LE application (DV Toolkit version). If you have previously updated DV Toolkit to version 6.1.1 when running the Pro Tools LE 6.1.1 Mac updater, then you will need to use the following workaround:

To Install DV Toolkit and Pro Tools LE 6.1.2

1. Delete the Pro Tools LE 6.1.1 (DV Toolkit version) application by dragging it to the trash and emptying the trash

2. Insert the Pro Tools LE 6.1 Mac CD included with your DV Toolkit purchase

3. Double-click the Install Pro Tools LE icon. Click Next to begin installation. The installer process automatically adds Pro Tools LE 6.1. When installation is complete, restart your computer.

4. Locate and open the DV Toolkit Installer folder, and double-click the Install DV Toolkit icon. Click Next to begin installation. The installer process automatically adds Pro Tools LE DV. This version of Pro Tools provides the Time Code features unique to DV Toolkit, DigiTranslator, and DINR LE. When installation is complete, restart your computer.

5. To install the VocALign Project software from Synchro Arts, locate and open the DV Toolkit Installer folder, then double-click the Install VocAlign Project icon. Click Next to begin installation. When installation is complete, restart your computer.

6. After completing all of the above, run the Pro Tools LE 6.1.2 Updater to update all components

If you are updating from Pro Tools LE 6.1 and DV Toolkit 6.1 and have not run the Pro Tools LE 6.1.1 updater, then this workaround is not necessary. The Pro Tools LE 6.1.2 updater also works properly on the standard Pro Tools LE 6.1 or Pro Tools LE 6.1.1 LE applicatiions without DV Toolkit.

These Pro Tools LE 6.1.2 updaters require a Pro Tools system with Pro Tools LE 6.1 or 6.1.1 already installed.
