MassivePack 4 Activation Deadline

Please Note: If you purchased MassivePack 4 and have not registered the product by completing your online activation of your iLok licenses, you must do so before May 31, 2006*. Digidesign will not be able to provide online authorizations after that date. The MassivePack 4 promotion ended December 20, 2005.

*The previous activation deadline has been extended to May 31, 2006.

  • Please note that you do not have to install the plug-ins until you are ready to do so.
  • The only thing that the online activation of your MassivePack 4 online does is deposit the licenses to your iLok.com User Account.
  • Your iLok.com User ID is the account name that you use when you login to iLok.com, not your password, iLok nickname, or anything printed on your iLok such as the serial number or manufacturing part number of the iLok.

ICON Control Surfaces with XMON rev E: Intermittent Talkback/Dim

A problem has been fixed in the XMON firmware which had caused intermittent Talkback and/or Dim operation in the monitoring section. This only affected revision E XMON units (all of which have firmware version 10). To resolve this issue you must download and install Pro Tools TDM 6.9.3r2 or Pro Tools HD 7.1cs3 (or higher), then follow the XMON Update instructions on the download page (and/or the Read Me).

To find out what firmware version your XMON has, simply press the Utilities button on the control surface, then in the Soft Keys section choose SYSTEM, then hold down FW. XMON units with firmware 11 already have the fix in place; XMON units with firmware 6 cannot be updated, but are not subject to this issue.

Please download the appropriate Pro Tools TDM 6.9.3r2 or Pro Tools HD 7.1 CS update from the following:

Third HD Card with G5 2.3GHz & G5 2.7GHz

A compatibility problem with Pro Tools|HD and the Power Mac G5 2.3GHz and 2.7GHz models has been reported by some customers where the third card of a Pro Tools|HD or Pro Tools|HD Accel system may sometimes not be recognized, and a "flex cable error" is posted. This problem can usually be resolved by rebooting the computer. Digidesign is currently investigating the problem.

Windows XP SP2 Compatibility

Digidesign has qualified Windows XP Service Pack 2 with all Pro Tools 6.4 and higher LE and TDM systems. A known problem with Digi 002 and 002 Rack systems on Pro Tools LE 6.4 was addressed with the Pro Tools LE 6.4cs9 update, and this fix is also included in Pro Tools LE 6.7 and higher.

If you decide to upgrade to SP2, please follow our recommended steps prior to upgrading to help insure a smooth upgrade:

Windows XP SP2, Microsoft DEP and PACE InterLok Drivers Update

if you encounter unexplained blue screens, freezes or spontaneous reboots when launching Pro Tools with Windows XP Service Pack 2, please update your PACE InterLok drivers:

The current InterLok drivers solve the described problems without having to disable Microsoft's DEP (Data Execution Prevention) feature introduced with Windows XP Service Pack 2.
