The Avid Pro Tools LE 6.5.1cs1 Update includes a fix for Digi 002 on Windows XP and SP2. Please note that SP2 is not fully qualified with Pro Tools at this time. What's Fixed in Avid Pro Tools LE 6.5.1cs1?

Avid Pro Tools LE 6.5.1cs1 for Windows XP contains the following:

Fixed: Opening a Session on a Digi 002 on a Windows XP SP2 System Results in a Blue Screen (Item #54466)

• Pro Tools would crash when using a Digi 002, and opening a session on a Windows XP system with SP2 installed.

Who Should use Avid Pro Tools LE 6.5.1cs1?

This update is recommended for all Avid Pro Tools LE 6.5 and 6.5.1 users with Windows XP and SP2 and contains fixes in the following areas:

• Windows XP Service Pack 2 support

We are making this fix available to our Digi 002 customers who wish to use SP2 prior to completion of Digidesign’s qualification of this new OS version. While we do not anticipate problems, we have not completed our in-depth testing of SP2 with Pro Tools, so it is not officially qualified or listed as such on our compatibility documents at this time.

Updating Pro Tools

To update to Avid Pro Tools LE 6.5.1cs1:

1. Verify Avid Pro Tools LE 6.5 or 6.5.1 is installed on your Windows XP system.
2. Quit the Pro Tools application if it is open.
3. Locate the file in this download named PTLE 6.5.1cs1 installer and launch it.
4. Follow the onscreen instructions to install Avid Pro Tools LE 6.5.1cs1.
5. When installation is complete, restart your computer.

This update installs the following updated file only:

• Dalwdm.sys
